I write books about events, successes and failures which I have experienced. I learned about leadership from the military, in my roles in American and European industry and as a political appointee. Fortunately, several of my early bosses were alcoholics, so I quickly experienced the bottom of the barrel, and later, when I had more time to notice, many of my leaders were exceptional. I also have been a bit player in many of America’s most significant events of my lifetime, which helps reduce the research necessary for my novels.
